Qarshi Foundation was founded by Mr. Iqbal Ahmad Qarshi, with the blessings of his mother & wife of (Late) respected Shifa-Ul-Mulk Hakim Muhammad Hassan Qarshi in July 1994. Qarshi Foundation is non-profit welfare organization involved in various activities of community development. Foundation is actively participating in the cause of community development and helping the poor & destitute. The main objective is focused to do such acts those can be helpful in developing the community and also to serve the nation's that part which is under privileged. For this purpose there are two major areas of work i.e. Health & Education. Foundation is working in both sectors. The strategic objective is clear & defined and emphasizes upon the improvement & development of the nation.

Provision for quality health care to the non-affording people is foundations top priority.To accomplish its task it is actively engaged in three distinct areas related to health care. Establishing herbal medicine dispensaries chain through out the country, to date 21 dispensaries are operative. Assisting materially & financially various hospitals providing health care to poor. Providing financial assistance to needy for medical treatment.

Education is another major work area of the Qarshi Foundation where it is contributing generously in the education sector. The management of Foundation believes that no meaning full progress can be made by the country without education. Foundation activities are multidimensional and extended to all areas of education. Foundation is sponsoring schools, running VTC, Engineering College & QITHM, provides material for meeting needs of schools, gives scholarships and rewards to students. Foundation also provides Qarz-e-Hasna to deserving students for higher and technical studies.

Foundation has established a vision 2010 for expansion & aims to establish 5 model complexes, 40 Health Units & 200 Dispensaries by the end of 2010, in the country. One model complex is established which comprises of one Higher Secondary School, One Mosque, One QMCHCC, One VTC, One SOH, One IOA, One Herbal Garden, One Fruit Garden etc. etc. Health Units will be consisting of One QMCHCC, One Dispensary, One out Reach Facility. In last year total 52 camps were held by current established Out Reach and with passage of time these numbers are increasing very rapidly.

Foundation also gives financial assistance to the Deeni Madaris, NGO?s, and Institutes etc. Qarshi Foundation also gives Gold medals to the outstanding students and teachers of various departments of the Punjab University, every year. Foundation has also assisted to Islamic University Bahawalpur for establishing department of Conventional Medicine for conducting two courses of BEMS regular and condensed course & the same proceedings are being carried for University of the Punjab for the department of Eastern Medicine.

Qarshi Foundation along with its main work areas of Health & Education, also working as philanthropic Organization, the direct donations is one of its regular activities. To support the poor and deserving financially, Foundation allocates huge budgets every year and provides assistance to needy, widows, for dowry and patients.
